Grand baby #4 has arrived!

Brandon (son of Rachel and Brandon) was born 6 weeks early today at 7:49 pm. He weighs 4.68 lbs and is 18 in. long. He is in the ICU right now. We will find out tomorrow how long they plan on keeping him there. Brandon is a very wiggly baby and seems to be doing well, he has more hair than Imogen, little Martin, and Lyla combined.   I will post some more pictures tomorrow when I get them.

The year 2008 has brought quite a bit for our family. A wedding and a new new son-law on April 11 when Kristina married LeGrand Fry. A new grandson on May 11 when Martin Jr. entered the world. The sealing of Martin, Andrea and Martin Jr. on November 8 and the sealing of Anne Marie and Joshua on December 20th. And to end the year with a bang a new granddaughter when Lyla entered the world a few days early by C-section to her proud parents Kristina and LeGrand Fry..

December proved to be a snowy month to have all of this going on but we managed to go on in spite of it. On the day Anne Marie and Josh were sealed there was a big snow and wind storm coming that we tried to beat out. Martin's car carrying his small family spun around in circles on the freeway on the way home and Trevor and Shannon's car did a little slipping around as well but we managed to make it home all safely. I knew the Lord would bless us to do that with the important things that were going on that day that we all wanted to witness and attend.

Dietz Halloween Party

This is Shannon posting for my mom again! I found these cute pictures on Patty's blog. John and Patty threw a fun party and Grandma and Grandma Lee enjoyed playing the games too.

Lake Chelan Reunion

We had our first Dietz Reunion this last August up at Lake Chelan. I had never been there before and it was just beautiful. We enjoyed most just being together as a family, playing together, eating together and talking. Our family is growing and we love it. We have wonderful children and children-in-laws and two beautiful grandbabies with one on the way. It is also a special treat to have Grandma and Grandpa Lee live with us. They enjoyed the trip as well. Although Mom thought when we had stopped for gas in Cle Elum on our way back that we were actually on our way to Lake Chelan and Dad tried to open the car all the way home because he thought I had taken a wrond turn. Thank goodness for childlocks!

One of the things we did at Lake Chelan was rent some jetskiis and it was a blast. That is until I let Anne Marie talk me into going on with her. I had never been on a jet ski before and told her to go nice and slow just the way I like it and she "reassured" me that she would. Needless to say she took me on the ride of a life time that caused me to nearly wet my pants. I did deserve it though for all the pranks I used to pull on her when she was little. (the match can burn twice trick and when she was young I went to check on her in her bedroom and she said she had to get up and look in her closet to make sure there were no monsters in there. I said ok and waited until she was done and back in bed but then whispered as I was leaving the room " Anne Marie they're not in the closet they are under your bed!) So you see what goes around comes around much to my distress!
